Who we are
FOCUS (“we”, “us”) operates the FOCUS planning and coaching product at www.in-focus.app. This policy covers both this marketing site and the signed-in product. Questions about it can go to founder@in-focus.app.
Information we collect
- Contact form submissions. Name, work email, company, team size, and your message, when you submit the form on our Contact page.
- Account information. When you sign in with Google or Microsoft, we receive the basic profile information (such as name and email) those providers share as part of sign-in.
- Calendar access. If you grant it during sign-in, we access your Google Calendar (read and write your events) or Microsoft Outlook Calendar (read and write) so FOCUS can schedule and track your work against your real availability.
- Outlook mail access (optional). If you choose the “calendar and mail” option when connecting Outlook, we also access your Outlook mail to power email-based features. Choosing “calendar only” means we never request this.
- Planning content. The objectives, tasks, notes, and related work information you enter into the product.
- Voice input (optional). If you use voice capture, your audio is sent to our transcription provider to convert it to text.
- Push notification subscription. If you turn on notifications, we store the browser push subscription needed to deliver them — nothing more.
How we use it
- To operate FOCUS: scheduling, planning, and tracking your work against your calendar.
- To generate AI-assisted plans and coaching guidance — relevant context (such as your stated objective and calendar availability) is sent to our AI provider to produce this, using an internal prompt that is not personal data about you.
- To respond to messages you send us through the contact form.
- To deliver notifications you’ve chosen to enable.
Who we share it with
We share data with the service providers that make FOCUS work, and only as needed for that purpose:
- Supabase — hosts our database and handles authentication.
- Google and Microsoft — sign-in, and calendar/mail access you’ve granted.
- Our AI provider — generates plans and coaching guidance from the context described above.
- Our transcription provider — converts voice input to text, if you use that feature.
We do not sell personal data, and we do not run advertising or analytics trackers on this site today.
Storage and security
Your data is stored in our Supabase-hosted database. Contact form submissions are protected by an insert-only policy — the same access our website uses to submit your message can never read it back; only our own account access to Supabase can. We use reasonable technical safeguards, but no method of storage or transmission is completely secure.
Your choices
- You can revoke FOCUS’s calendar or mail access at any time from your Google or Microsoft account settings.
- You can ask us to delete your data by emailing founder@in-focus.app.
Children
FOCUS is a workplace productivity tool, not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect information from children.
Changes to this policy
If our data practices change materially, we’ll update this page and the date at the top of it.
